Sony strengthens push into visualization and simulation market
Orlando, FL December 1, 2014 — Scalable Display Technologies, a leading provider of display calibration software for military simulation display systems, VDC Display Systems, a Video Display Corporation company and a leading provider of simulation displays and Sony Electronics, manufacturer of the compact form factor VPL-GT100 4K projector, today announced their collaboration at the I/ITSEC trade show. VDCDS will use Scalable Display Managerâ„¢ software for automatic warp and blend with two blended Sony's VPL-GTZ1 4K laser ultra short throw projectors producing a full 8K x2K targeted at the simulation and Command and Control markets.
Scalable Display, VDCDS and Sony have partnered in the simulation market for many years and now Sony is continuing to expand its presence in this market. Scalable's camera-based calibration software, Scalable Display Manager, is ideally suited for warping and blending multiple 4K projectors for the highest quality imagery available.
